Sian-Lee-SA / Home-Assistant-Switch-Manager

Switch manager is a centralised component to handle button pushes for your wireless switches. This includes anything passed through the event bus. The component relies on switch blueprints which is easily made to allow GUI configuration of your switches and their button pushes. This helps remove clutter from the automations.

The sequence editor is the same that HA uses for scripts and automations so if it's not showing then it's an issue with HA editor. You can still manually enter entity id's

Furthermore, I've used light groups in my switches just fine

it does not work..

Like I said, the issue is with Home Assistant... Also a group isn't a device, it's a group so makes no sense to be a device action

platini76 commented 1 year ago

so what option I have to use to select group?

platini76 commented 1 year ago

I discover the problem.... your app can select devices.. and not entity... a group is an entity.. correct me if I am wrong..

Sian-Lee-SA commented 1 year ago

????? Just use call service and target the entities you need to ctrol. Group is not a Device. Yes a group is an entity. not a device (A device is a hardware, a singular object... A group is a group of Hardwares and Objects). Personally, I avoid using the 'Device' option as an action for obvious reasons

It's also not "my app" that you're referring to, it's HA's own component. Not switch managers

Sorry but I am not an expert user, don’t be severe with me. thanks

Please familiar yourself with Home Assistant first before adding custom integrations as posting issues or adding on things without first knowing how to use Home Assistant is not a good idea. I've also said your issue isn't Switch Manager's issue but a Home Assistant one, in fact I also had to explain it's not actually an issue at all and elaborate what a device is. I also don't know what 'severe' is in regards to the context you used it in.
