Mail in FF only uses GMail #270

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Take FF 6.0
2. Go to any website that is supported for ireader, i.e.: 
http://www.guardian.co.uk/technology/2011/aug/25/steve-jobs-resigns-as-apple-ceo
3. Click on ireader and on Mail.

What is the expected output?
It should open my local mail programm.

What do you see instead?
It opens GMail, regardless wether the checkbox in options is checked or not.

Chrome or Firefox?
Firefox

Operating system:
OS X
