Narrow window is not as narrow as it was (used to be 3-4 words, now is 10); how can I get narrow width again?

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Simply clicking on iReader.

What is the expected output?

Used to be a narrower width, which I preferred.

What do you see instead?

Too wide a width.

Browser:
Chrome or Firefox?      Chrome

Operating system:       Windows 7

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if 
possible.

The width is about 3 3/4 inches.
