SickChill Windows installer does not work. #37

I just downloaded the SickChill Windows installer. The installer only installs following folders C:\Sickchill

This never downloads the portableGIT or the actual sickchill code base.

Please help.

I have the same issue

miigotu commented 3 years ago

It isn't supposed to download sickchill into the SickChill folder, or portable git. It installs sickchill from pip, eliminating the need for git or a pull.

Is there a windows installation log ? I feel like installation is failing as localhost:8081 is not loading. Please let me know so I can run the installer with log file and troubleshoot the issue.

Will this new installer add windows services/shirt cuts etc?

Hi @miigotu -- Is there a log for installation process? Or Can I enable the installation log somehow? This would help in troubleshooting why sickchill pip installation is failing.

This may be a different problem, but for me, the installer downloads Python then I get Runtime Error (at 126:640) and it exits. I'm running Windows 10 x64 with the latest updates.

I've just downloaded the latest windows installer 0.6.1, there seems to be an issue with this version, see image if it pasted correctly, the install process seems to end sometimes with brief view of red text in the command window but it's all to brief to capture and I cannot find a log file anywhere.

Is a log file created anywhere ?

I have tried to install on windows 10, windows 11 and windows server 2016 r2 all fail in the same manner with sickchill not running.

Are there any fixes work arounds information ??

Trying to install sickchill with 6.2 and I’m having the exact same issue. Service stays paused and it looks like missing files in the installation directory. I can’t manually start sickchill as I don’t have the sickchill.exe
