Oh, God! Arena has the same functionality and it annoys the hell out of me. But fine... what you mean is that when there is only one piece which could go to a square you click on, then a move would be performed?

Actually, in chess position trainer you are basically drilling lines just like you would in Chessable's move trainer, so only one move is correct; meaning that if you click the square where the correct move happens it will move the correct piece there. The only time there is a problem, is if the very last move in the line has 2 or more pieces that could possibly land there. When this happens CPT tells you Which specific piece lands there. At least that way you know if your intention to move a certain piece was correct. It's rare that I assume a wrong piece will be the one to go to that square.
That only works in the context of a puzzle. Also I think if two pieces can go to a square and the computer chooses for you, regardless of how low the probability is you didn't know what you wanted to move, it's still above zero.

Correct 👍
This is a really cool program that I use regularly with PGNs that I create myself. 1 of my favorite features is that you can click on the square where you want your piece to go instead of having to click the piece and then the square. To be honest, if lichess behave this way I would probably never use chess position trainer.
