Which device (manufacturer, type)?

Samsung Intercept M910

Which firmware is installed?

I am running the stock firmware. This device is rooted.

What version of wireless tether are you using?

2.0.7

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Download & install 2.0.7
2. Start 2.0.7. This app does not produce any warnings. No warnings about
'root' or 'ipfilter'.
3. Start tethering.
4. Test from two laptops (WinXPSP3 & Snow Leopard). Neither laptop sees this
Wifi hotspot.
5. See that the FAQ recommends that I do "Menu->Setup->Menu->Reinstall
binaries/configs.", so I do this.
6. The app prints the following error to the screen:

"couldn't install file data/data/android.tether/bin/dnsmasq"

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I was expecting more informative error explaining *why* it couldn't install
dnsmasq.

Please provide any additional information below.

it won't install because wifi tether is still on. turn off tethering and it'll
install. dosn't solve not being able to see the hotspot.
