Which device ?
HTC EVO 4G 2.3.3

Which firmware is installed?
I'm not sure where to find this but my kernal is 2.6.35.10-g13578ee

What version of wireless tether are you using?
I tried beta 10, 9, 8 and they all have the same steps

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Launch the tethering app
2.Try to connect and on the device you are connecting from, it's stuck on
"obtaining ip address"
3.

Please provide any additional information below.
Problem is simple, it just doesn't obtain the IP address, it tries to connect
but doesn't. I see the SSID being broadcasted though.

I enabled "routing Fix" and I got it to work. Give it a try.

I have experienced the same issues before. I don't know anything about
computers, so I decided to just call a professional when I struggled with this.
I don't know what he did, but my internet works perfect now.
