Which device (manufacturer, type)?Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Two phones wife's phone
and self both Nexus. Both same message.

Which firmware is installed?I515.09V.FA02/I515.FA02 Android version 4.0.2
Kernel 3.08-gaaa2611 android-build@apa28#1 ROM build number Android Revolution
HD 2.1.5 LTE by mike1986

What version of wireless tether are you using?version 11

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Turn on tether, go to settings
2.check off any item on menu and get "RE/install binaries.config" thence
"Couldn't install
file-data/data/com/googlecode.android.wifi.tether/bin/dnsmasq!"
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead? Internet connection
cannot be attained. The tether works most of time. Seems to occur following
shut down of phone as in overnight.

Please provide any additional information below.
Great app from your efforts! Tried to donate couple days ago and PayPal gave
me no option to donate via debit/credit card. Will try again. Thank you all.

I am having the same problem. System says reinstall binaries/configs, when I
try it says "couldn't install file-
/data/data.com.googlecode.android.wifi.teather/bin/dnsmasq"
Running Samsung Galaxy SIII Model SGH-T999 on T-Mobile, Android version 4.0.4
Baseband version T999UVLH2, Kernel version 3.0.8-925100-user se.infra@SEP-86#1

SSID will usually not show up in network list on devices until I change channel
on phone several times (random) Occasionally changing Device Profile from SGS3
to Generic ICS/JB (wlan0 or 1) results in SSID appearing. Often it does not.
The WIFI Tether app is generally unreliable as I cannot expect SSID will appear
and if it does it will often not connect. Sucess rate is about 20%.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app resulted in the app working properly once
again. First time I started it WIFI driver did not load (according to error
log). Second start was successful. kyle@kyledennis.com
