Which device (manufacturer, type)?
HTC Incredible ADR6300
Which firmware is installed?
Using SkyRaider 2.5.5 Sense ROM running Android 2.2 OS
What version of wireless tether are you using?
Have tried 2.0.5 pre3 - pre8
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start WiFi Tether and connect with Laptop/Netbook/PC (generally only one at
a time

2. Wait anywhere from 2-20 min on average, with or without use)

3. Computer loses WiFi connection and can no longer "see" it.
Stopping/Restarting Wifi Tether restores the WiFi connection and can connect
again no problem.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Continuous/stable WiFi connection. Alert of failed WiFi condition on the app
Please provide any additional information below.
WiFi dropping out appears to be at random, can dicern no pattern/cause. I am
computer savvy but am new to rooting and using a rooted device with apps
designed for rooted phones. If more info is needed, please let me know. I
have already donated and will gladly double that donation to resolve this
issue! Thanks for an awesome app!

I'm having the same issues on the EVO 4G with pre8. Only started happening
today, maybe within the past 4 hours. Used it last night for 3+ house with no
issue. Tried rebooting the phone and PC.

This may be premature as there have been times when it would connect for a long
period of time, but for the last 12 hours I have been on the new Skyraider
3.0rc2 ROM and it has not dropped out on me yet. Will update if problem
recurs, but may have been a ROM specific issue.

I will be damned...should have kept my big mouth shut. Sure enough, 5 min
after I post this using WiFi Tether, the bitch drops out on me after working
perfectly for hours...This issue is still ongoing. Only change was the change
in ROM from 2.5.2 to 3.0rc2 (Skyraider for the Incredible)

I'm having the same issue on my Droid. Which really sucks because it's my ONLY
source of internet atm.

Same issue here. Running the HTC Evo 4G with Android 2.2 (Fresh Evo 2.4.0 ROM).
I'm having this issue with Wireless Tether 2.0.5 pre4, pre6, pre7, pre8, & pre9.

Same issue has been plaguing me for weeks now. It was happening with Android
2.1 stock, and now happening to 2.2. I think the only version that worked right
was Android 2.1 with Tether 2.0.2, which no longer works in Android 2.2.

It's driving me NUTS! Just now it just dropped out 6 times while I was on the
train. I saved some logs, which I will now attach, but I don't think there's
anything in them to warrant this (the drop happens within the last 2-3 minutes
of the log).

I am using no encryption, I killed Tasker, which was the reason behind a
similar issue last time (it was turning on WiFi at times which would silently
kill WiFi Tether) - the only thing that's active is access control, but it does
it without access control either.

Btw, sometimes when I start tethering, my laptop can't see the WiFi AP at all -
I have to restart tethering, sometimes even a few times, for it to start seeing
the AP.

Well, I'll be damned. I didn't think this would work but saw in another thread
that changing to channel 1 would fix the issue. I tried channel 12 people which
didn't help, so I thought it wasn't going to work. Tried it anyway, and voila -
tethering has been stable for all of today, which hasn't happened in weeks!

Same issue on Galaxy Nexus. When this occurs, the tether widget briefly turns
off and then back on, like it tries to reactivate. However, after this the
phone is no longer broadcasting an SSID or otherwise reachable via wifi. Seems
to occur intermittently.

Same issue on Motorola Photon 4G. It also drops whenever a phone call comes in,
was hoping you guys had a "BLock incoming calls" feature in your menu to stop
that from happening but not a chance :) And yes I know they are two different
issues! Or maybe the other is a feature request?
