Problem installing mod #156

I've seen many people with this same issue but cannot find anywhere that it has been solved.

I followed all the steps to install this mod, but when I open the launcher for victoria 2 it does not appear as an option to select. I have tried verifying my game files and re installing multiple times, I am still having the same problem.

Try (re)installing the the VC++ 2010 Redistributable package, that's often what causes mods to not show up when they're installed properly. Download it here.

I've noticed that the game has problems installing this package on Windows 10 recently, never had the problem before the past year or so.

I just tried that and it's still not showing up.

All my other mods show up too, it's just HFM that doesn't.

Most people I see with this issue are putting it in the wrong place. You need to have the HFM folder and the HFM.mod file in your /mod folder. It comes in the HFM-Development folder when you download it from here, but you can't just put that folder in the /mod folder.

I installed it correctly. Like I said, I have multiple other mods installed correctly that work fine, only this one doesn't show up.

Maybe you are installing in the documents/paradox interactive/victoria II/mod folder? It's in the root (game folder) /mod instead. Also, did you put the .mod file in there? What is written on it?
