I would like to see a bit of metadata about the assets. Nothing fancy, but how about embedding these in the README with a bit of explanation about what they are about?

Then on naming: Imagine we have 50 app images and you're looking for the right one - wouldn't it be nicer if their names were meaningful, like wilhelmsk_ipad_landscape.png instead of app.png.

I don't know the sources and what we exactly see here.

I have to focus on posters and banners before I can continue crowdsourcing images, sorry.
