IntelliJ's proofreading feature is very superficial. Add some form of proofreading step to the local build process and/or the CI pipeline. Ideally, there should be a plugin that can detect typos, grammatical mistakes, etc. for multiple languages, and you can specify what language is used based on some folder or filename pattern.
