Steps to Reproduce the Problem

Make a dedicated server with only silents mech and silent lib and log in to it.

Still an issue in SilentMechanisms-1.16.3-0.8.2+66.jar

I checked and silent Gear is fine, it is only Mechanisms.

With version 0.8.3? Not having any issues connecting to a server in dev.

I see now, curseforge wasn't feeding me the right version, retesting.
