I would like to add a new enemy / mob to forests, jungles, etc. The Alraune. A stationary enemy that attracts its pray within 32 blocks (16 for non-jungle) using pheromones. While near the alraune, the player will get a debuff, which will increase in intensity as they stay within the 32-block radius. (Passive mobs may also be affected if you so desire.) The debuff will cause the player/mob to very slowly be drawn toward the alraune. The alraune may also attack at range if you start running from it while under the debuff's influence. Once up close, within a block of the alraune, the player/entity will be rooted, and they will start taking damage from her. The rooted effect can be removed with a chance by hitting the alraune. The player will gain a blindness effect while this close to the alraune, making it so the player can basically only see her. Acting to emulate the experience of being trapped in the closed petals of an alraune. The Dryad and Alraune may work together if spawned near each other.
A passive variant could also be added to work as a turret for players. As well as having a chance to heal/buff nearby players. The passive variant will require food as a "Fuel" and will close up its petals/etc. when it is too hungry to work.
