Maybe you'll think about disabling golem aggression towards neutral mobs like centaurs, dryads and satirists? Considering that they spawn quite often, all I do is run around repairing golems. Besides, I feel a little sorry for these mobs, they're cute - and I wouldn't mind having them at the base.
