Android Support #255

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attempt to use the google data library on the google Android.

What is the expected output?
It is expected that google would support their own operation system.

What do you see instead?
Support only for their competitor(IPhone).

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.41.1 and 2.0 alpha

Please provide any additional information below.
The new 2.0 alpha is a step in the right direction but is still not compatible
and still can't compile
on the Android platform.

Thanks for your feedback Jared. We recently announced version 2.1 alpha.
Please take a look
at it and see if the Android compatibility issues you were seeing have been
fixed. If not,
please be specific what compatibility problem you are seeing, and we will try
to fix it as
soon as possible. Android support is a primary feature of the version 2 client.

I not aware of any obvious Android incompatibilities in version 1, but I don't
expect we will
make any effort to fix any such issues in the version 1 client. For Android, I
strongly
recommend the version 2 client.

Version 2.1.0-alpha should be compatible with Android. If you have a more
specific issue,
please reopen.
Version 1 does not support Android.
