The free Surge of Insanity proc from Halo creations can munch procs with Mind Spike #1192

Game Version: 11.0.0 alpha Build 55288

Description: Now that we can generate a Mind Spike: Insanity cast passively from the Halo generation, if you happen to be casting a normal Mind Spike during the time that you get a buff from a Halo creation it will consume the buff and not end up casting the Mind Spike: Insanity or give you the Shadowy Apparition.

Reproducible: yes

Howto:

  1. Cast Halo
  2. Cast Mind Spike: Insanity once
  3. Wait until you are about to spawn the new Halo -> Start casting a normal Mind Spike
  4. Get a proc mid-cast of normal Mind Spike of Surge of Insanity
  5. Notice that when the normal cast finishes it was still just a normal Mind Spike worth of damage but it consumes the buff and does not spawn a Shadowy Apparition
