screen does not automatically turn on #91

I am running android 4.2.2 and when a notification comes in I hear the usual sound and look at the screen but it never turns on. I have to manually turn it on. Am I missing a setting to make sure the screen wakes when notification comes in? thanks..

Hi, Yes, you have to enable this in the settings. See "Turn screen on" in the lockscreen section. You might be interested in "Pocket detection" as well, but that option doesn't work on all devices.

I don't use the lockscreen but I will enable this setting and see if it works on the homescreen.
