Steering #1

I'm trying to understand if the electric power steering has the ability to turn right or turn left from a can signal? I haven't gotten all the sniffer items set up but thought you might know the answer.

I've not seen any evidence it can - but I've not been looking specifically for that. However, the EPAS system is quite modern - and these days, a manufacturer would be daft not to include the functionality for driverless operation. So I would bet it's possible!

I'd be really interested if you make any progress! Being able to make the steering radio controlled would be very useful. I work in the Film Industry & radio controlled vehicles are quite a common requirement for death defying stunts.

Even for riding trails - being able to get out the vehicle for tricky bits where, if it goes wrong, you die! That would be great - I'm not sold on dying just yet!

Step 1 would be to get it to steer to a line. I would be trying to get it to follow a guidance line in agopengps. Once it could do that then use recorded path to follow the line autonomously, and keep building from there.
