Godot's 2D internal lighting system doesn't achieve what I want.
e.g. I want a shadow emitted on the ground from the top of a swingset. Instead, implementing lighting on that will act as a wall blocking light.
We seem to have exhausted our options. We will stick with using simple lighting with simple shapes, & normal maps sparingly when it will help.
