Permission error reading the default ringtone #1234

I am running an Android 10 rom (Resurrection Remix) and have installed the latest version of Simple Calendar from F-droid. I have enabled notifications for calendar reminders. When I try to choose the ringtone, I get the following error when selecting the default system ringtone.

I have granted any permissions the app asked me for. Apologies of my setup is not a supported one.
