idk what's the issue, but alarms and timers simply don't have sound at all if your phone's on silent/vibrate mode.

tibbi commented 1 year ago

what app and OS version are you using?

I'm also facing this issue. Quite funny if you ask me XD

tibbi commented 1 year ago

check your notification settings of your device. Such things should be handled by the system, not our app

Every single app (other than stock) other than Simple Clock works. It can't possibly be an issue with the system. Have you looked at the number of people reporting the exact same issue...?

I was having this issue and since uninstalling 5.10.3 and downgrading to 5.10.0, the alarm correctly rings, even after upgrading back to 5.10.3. Maybe this issue is link to a corrupted configuration or some kind of registration to the system going bad? What happens if you reinstall the app @nameless326 ?

Was curious so tested this. Could reproduce using Simple Clock v5.10.3 on LineageOS v20. This was the only version of Simple Clock that's ever been installed on the device, fwiw.

For each test set a Clock alarm for the upcoming minute, with vibration option for alarm disabled.

Tests:

Then tried setting an alarm using the native LineageOS Clock app and it was audible in Mute mode and Vibrate mode.

Edit: tested Simple Calendar, for comparison, and it has sound for tasks in both Mute and Vibrate modes.

I found out, in android 13 there was also no ringtone played. With a little help of the internet I found a solution that worked for me: -> Change ringtone (the selected ringtone didn't exist anymore). Just for sure I deleted all alarms and set new ones.

Maybe that helps others
