Simple Contacts crash when foto add to contact #1025

When I add new foto Simple Tools crashes and do not reopen at all. This happen when I bluetooth foto from iphone to android fone (Simple Contacts app), insert into new contact, and save contact the app disappear. When reopening the app crash without opening and cant access any contacts.

I suspect foto memory size should be first troubleshoot in app. Do you resize fotos down from large size new Smartfones capture? Nothing other was done impact Simple Contacts. Only add 1 foto take from primary fone (iphone) bluetooth to android fone used for Simple Contacts app make your app crash and be unavailable completely.

Android v11 Newest Simple Contacts apk from Github (also).

step 1 - open Simple Contacts Step 2 - select contact to edit step 4 - select edit contact data step 5 - insert foto step 6 - adjust in-app foto layout from avail setting step 7 - save contact edit outcome - contacts say saving but unlike prior saving foto (or contact with out foto) app crash. It do not stay open. When trying reopen Contacts it automatic crash.

I go in settings and manual "force stop" app (try to reset) then reopen Contacts automatic crash again and will not open at all.

I believe the foto size may be root cause. Foto size select for contact was 4256x3832 (12.5 MB) Might Simple Contacts not test Contacts foto size limit and/or not create buffer to warn to user or automatic resize/reducing foto to comply with Simple Contacts foto/data limits? I do not know size of other fotos attach to different contacts.

I download 6.22.6 but Contacts still automatic crash when try to open/access the app.

Also, when open other Simple Mobile Tool apps that cross-ref Contacts they do not show contact data. SMS only show phone number and not names. Dialer does not show anything when when Contacts is chose and only phone number when Call History is chose.

Please advise if you believe all data lost and I must uninstall and start from null. Or do you know a path where Contacts data is stored that I can save to reuse if uninstall is necessary?

Tibbi, have you look at this constant defect?I manually reloaded 200+ contact and your contacts app crash again when foto from this handy attach to contact. Foto from this handy was 8MB.Your app do not resize or even reject fotos. Simple Mobile is first app that do this to my contacts. I like the privacy not share data with other snooping apps but when Simple Contacts claim user can add foto but your app crash it is not very good.On 8/31/23, 20:19 Tibor Kaputa @.***> wrote:
