Can't add new notes field #167

I'm using Simple Contacts to edit some contacts in my EteSync account.

It seems to work ok for the most part, but if the contact currently doesn't have a Notes field, Simple Contacts won't add one. I can write stuff in the Notes section, but when I press the check mark to save my work, everything I wrote there gets lost.

If the contact already has some text in the notes, though, (perhaps added via the Google contacts app) then Simple Contacts can edit that and it'll take.

Tested with Simple Contacts v3.5.3 from F-Droid.

Hey, update your app to 4.0.3 please as soon as possible, it should be fixed there.

I just updated to 4.0.2 (not 4.0.3) because that's the latest version on F-droid and the bug's still there... I'll wait for 4.0.3

that wont fix it, only some account discoverability changes have been added there
