For comparsion, on my Pixel 6 with A13 it uses actually 169MB, but the system also say "Maximum was: 560MB". System standard reporting (no third party apps used to check) for the period of one day. So it seems, the memory consumption is not all the day at such a high value.
like how many app icons do you have?
In my case, 7 widgets (on 2 desktops), 4 icons on desktop, 5 icons in the quick access bar (above the 3 control keys), one folder with 13 icons and another with 15. No, I'm not a compulsive hoarder 🐿️ But thats why I'm here and not at one of all other FOSS launcher, which all following the KISS principle

101 And RAM usage of the launcher is actual 316MB with 544MB max today.
The launcher consumes a lot of RAM, usually more than 500MB of RAM is displayed in cached processes. For comparison, other launchers (rootless pixel launcher & lawnchair 12.1) consume about 100MB of RAM on my phone.
