Reverb problems with headphones #437

Hello, I'm having following problem: All music I play has reverb (it sounds like the music is played on speakers inside a room). This reverb is not existent when using other audio players. Also, the equalizer is set to 'normal'. I tested whether this was due to my headphones not being supported, but when I tested for this issue using another pair of headphones it also had reverb. I also tested whether the reverb problem would occur when using the speakers, but I didn't notice it there (although the speakers of my phone are rather bad, so I can't say it's gone when using speakers with 100% confidence) My phone is an Alcatel IDOL 5 running Android 7.0 and I am using version 5.13.1 of Simple Music Player.

I found the solution to this problem. It was an error on my side.

Here's the details if someone has similar issues: My phone ships with an "audio improvement" feature that is enabled by default in auto-detect mode. So when I play music with the stock music player it detects it as music and does some audio tweaks. But when I used Simple Music Player, it wrongly detected it as movie app and set into cinema mode, which has caused the reverb. I was able to disable this feature in my phone's settings and now Simple Music Player works fine.
