Messages lost #785

I can no longer use simple SMS messenger, this is why: I used it for several weeks, and I really like this application which I find very user-friendly. unfortunately, many of my contacts reported to me that I was not responding to their messages, texts or mms! I didn’t respond to them because I simply never received their messages! So I did hundreds of tests to try to find a solution, but to no avail. when the application is defined as app. SMS by default, some messages do not reach me and they are permanently lost, even by changing application (Google message, Qksms....) the messages do not arrive. it can also happen that it works for several days without any problem, then no more message reception if the application is not started before receiving the message. If I close the application, no more messages arrive. You must then clear the data of the uninstalled application and reinstall it for it to work again. But for how long ? I tried with different smart phones, one with Android 10 Go edition, one with Android 8.1, and another with Android 10. Same problem on all three, no root, stock ROM. Battery management disabled. I tried with versions 5.18.2 up to 5.19.2, and same problem, some messages do not reach me. or impossible to receive anything if the app is not open. Sorry for this long speech, but the aim is for it to be useful to everyone and for a possible solution to be found. THANKS

hard to say what is the issue there, could be your telecom provider too. But if the same thing happens with other apps, it isnt an issue on our side.

hello tibbi, yes , i understand it's hard to say what is the issue. But it;s sure, other app do not have problem, actualy i use QSMS, no message lost. I change my SIM card in case .. same problem (only with Simple SMS messenger) . If Simple SMS messenger is the app. of SMS by default and certain messages do not arrive to me, changing the application does not make them arrive either. messages are definitely lost. Too bad because I find this application very pleasant to use.

well, you just wrote above that Google messages and Qksms do not work reliable either

Sorry for my very bad English. What I meant is that if your app is the default and some messages do not happen to me, changing application, does not make messages happen they are lost forever. But with other applications, such as Google Message or QSMS that I currently use, I have no lost message. I would prefer to use simple sms messenger that I find really very good, but I cannot be sure I have all my messages that arrive. Thank you very much to take the time to read me.
