What is a Code 16 error? #789

Hello,

I can’t send SMS anymore, it’s fail with the code 16. I still receive SMS, I can call, I can use LTE data, but can’t send SMS. I contacted my operator, but I’m taking any information that can help me troubleshooting.

do other downloaded SMS Messenger apps work?

No, neither Silence or the original LineageOS SMS app. I know it isn’t a Simple SMS Messenger issue, but it was the only one to provide a specific error code, while others just say there was an error… so I hoped it might give me more clues.

I forgot to update this issue, but I "found" the problem: sending SMS works on 3G/H+, but not on 4G. With any SMS apps. The quotes are because I don’t know why I can’t send SMS on 4G anymore…

If code 16 is a generic "system error" code, then this issue can be closed. But if it has a specific meaning, I'd like to know it.

hard to say what is it exactly, it is the system that gives the number, not us. It isnt an issue on our side though
