Option to pay affiliate comission in different curencies, e.g. EUR #195

We are going to have affiliates around the world. And for most countries it will be very difficult for the affiliate partners to relate to affiliate comission paid in DKK, which is the only option we have now, since our company account is in DKK.

The default price of the products are in EUR and it will therefore be natural also to be able to pay out comission in EUR .

So I suggest that you make it possible to pay out comission in all the major currencies or at least in EUR and USD. I'm sure it will help a lot of other Simplero Customers, who work with a global network of affiliates but are located in a country with a not-so-well-known currency.

Since internal accounting as always going to be in the account currency, it makes sense to count affiliate commission in that currency as well. So the conversion would happen with the actual payout.

I think the solutions must be to either use a payment service that lets you pay in your own currency, and they receive in theirs, or you can convert it into their currency before paying it out, and maybe add a note saying what the amount was in their currency.

Sure, we could add something to make that a little bit smoother, and we could use the exchange rate we already have in the system, so we can tell you what the amount would be in the affiliate's preferred currency.

How do you do the actual payment at the moment?

If I don't hear anything back oson, I'm going to assume it's no longer relevant, and close this.

I'm not sure if all this conversion along the way as you suggest is the best option.

What I'm hoping for, is that we can see the affiliate comission earned in the same currency as the products sold. In that way there is more transparency for the affiliate to actually see that they get the right comission. That could be shown as a line for each currency in the overview of the commisions earned. When comission is paid out - which we do through our own bank, we can then choose to pay out in the currency that is most applicaple for each affiliate (DKK for the Danish affiliates and EUR for the rest) and let our bank make the conversion. I think a system like that will make much more sense for the affiliates around the world who has no sense of value of the DKK curency and will give more transparency.
