Building for immutable distros? #5

I've been poking at this and wondering what the best way to build for immutable distros is though such as NixOS and so on that are not FHS compliant?

My first thought was maybe an environment that is FHS compliant but that didn't work, so what would be the best way to get this to work on a non FHS compliant environment distro?

This is a really good question. I will try to run a VM and see ways to achieve a method to compile, install and run the module.
