I was thinking since we want this to be short some short of acronym. It could be for example:

• escrapper (from exploit scrapper)

But then again its gonna be vulnerability information scrapper as well. So maybe:

• vscrapper ? (It doesnt seem easy to remember and use)

Then maybe:

• avescrap (automated vulnerability and exploit scrap)

• veis (Vulnerability and Exploit Information Scrapper) ?

Also greek name: http://www.behindthename.com/name/eunice but it isn't so close to the tools purpose, although it could give you easy good win :)

Also:

• ehermes (from exploit and Hermes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermes)

Or:

• epherousa (from exploit and pherousa means bring)

Last one is either argus.py or panoptes.py:

My friend had a fair point, eunice sounds like eunith which is bad, so probably one of the other 3 ones.

I think it should be scrape not scrap, and scraper not scrapper btw.

I think I like veis, argus vulnscrape the best.

Not a massive fan of evase because it sounds like evade, which gives the wrong impression of what the tool does, and evase has other meanings.

Also, how about Hermes rather than ehermes? It's a bit easier to say, and Thanat has a good point about the number of syllables.

You are right about evase, I know. But it's the same case with veis as it sounds like veil lol.

Hermes could work but I don't feel like its that close to what the tool does. My concern with argus is that no one will understand its roots, but we can always explain that. The thing is when you want to search for exploits are you gonna remember its called argus? Does it make easy to recall when on a terminal?

It is a tough one, maybe we should make a poll :D.

A decision has been taken today following a fairly democratic approach in the office, 80% of the people voted for:

So now we need to look how we can give 2 names to it maybe or just keep ephe and also I will try to come up with a proper description one day soon.
