In your setup section I followed your instructions but once I loaded the theme in KLWP it only shows the "loading" page with the animations frozen, if I swipe to different pages it also does not change. What am I doing wrong??

soulstare, i've had the same problem. As far as i'm concerned, the problem is that KWLP doesn't realise that you've unlocked your phone. Make sure that you've enabled Tasker itself and in KWLP and imported both lock/unlock profiles.

When I try to import anything to tasker, it says "Error: bad filename, must match .prj.xml." Does anybody know what to do??

I'm stuck with the same issue, loading screen with no animations. I tried everything I could think of. Even uninstalling both KWLP and Tasker. But now when I set Tasker back up and enable it it says no active profiles when both are enabled.

Tasker says no active profiles in the notification bar even when performing properly. The profiles only activate once when the screen is locked or unlocked which sends for a given task. The tasks are what send the variable to KLWP telling it to perform an animation that reveals a screen or hides it and shows your lock screen image waiting to be opened. Both profiles and associated tasks need to be imported.

All that being said, the theme should function without the aid of Tasker as well, so long as you disable Tasker in the globals tab in KLWP. Tasker is mainly used to add sounds to various actions used in the theme.
