Any interest in continuing this project? #15

I've recently become aware of and interested in this code base. I tried it out on macOS where there was some initial trouble getting it going, but was then able to get some issues resolved and got it working again.

I was thinking about creating a fork in which I'd be expanding on the original design and adding features. I might also like to go so far as to do a name change to distinguish it from its ancestry, and to make commercial releases. In this case, I would of course be keeping any code revisions publicly available in adherence with the existing GPLv3 license terms.

I'm mainly wondering how much interest there is from you @Sixline, in continuing with this project? If there are others with a continued interest, then that would also be good to know. I notice that it's been dormant for the past 7 months, and that the few active forks that exist on Github contain no changes since your latest 2023.1.0 release.

Should I expect that any changes that I make in my fork might also be of interest to you and the VortexDM community, and be potentially merged back in, or should I instead just move forward with my new chapter and consider the previous instances to be of historical attribution interest only?

If you or anyone has any comments, concerns, or suggestions regarding these plans, then please let me know.

I don't really care either way. I haven't been using it lately which is why it has stagnated. No one has submitted any pull requests either.

The project was started because the original FireDM project was mysteriously removed and purposely broken. I renamed it and had your same intentions.

Okay, thanks for your quick reply. I still find it to be well designed and feature rich enough to be of interest to try to evolve it further and see what more can be made of it. Please feel free to stay involved if you like the way you see it going.
