L and R buttons quit game without asking for confirmation

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Pressing L or R during gameplay

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Should ask for confirmation, but it simply quits the application.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The latest

Please provide any additional information below.
Editing the .rc file doesn't help because the application overrides this file 
everytime it runs.

Editing the rc file has previously worked.
