how can I know my host or ip address?? i want to use it with the wifi. im
using ubuntu 10.4. thanks!

You should look for the properties of your wifi device, if you want to go 
graphical.
But you can also open a terminal session and type 'ifconfig' (no quotes), look 
for
the 'inet addr:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'.
