Add DVD playback information to mplayer adapter

What feature or enhancement would you like to see in Remuco?
Mplayer adapter does not show DVD information

Please describe a use case that motivates this feature:
We all love mplayer, but the adapter only works for local files.

Yeah, I think is a general problem for video players. Remuco originally was 
designed
for audio players, where there is no visual channel between the user and the 
app to
control. Things are a bit different for video players. Generally it might be a 
good
idea to provide an alternative main screen on the client for video players, 
which
allows menu-style navigation.

I think we could start small and just fetch the DVD information.
I've got a ton of work to do this week so I'll only be able to look into it 
next weekend.

I misunderstood this issue to be about DVD control, but you're right, providing 
DVD
information is the feature to go for first.

I've come and gone a couple of times trying to figure out a way to fetch the
information, without luck. 'get_property metadata', which sounds promising, 
returns
null values all the time.

It seems more feasible to implement DVD control through dvdnav right now, but 
we'd
need some kind of "shift" key to alter the behavior of the controls in the 
client.
I'll open a separate issue to discuss this further.
