log on client reports:

[IT]creating image failed (null) when track changed on player
nothing in log when changed on client

However, I have now loaded the same client on my HTC Tilt and the images do
display
on that device, just not on the 2003SE device

Could be a Tao issue. Which MIDP environment do you use on the HTC Tilt?

The tilt runs jbed 20080428.2.1

I suspect it is a Tao issue.

Can you, or any one else out there recommend other (free) j2me runtimes to try
on
2003SE, along with links to downloads? I've so far tried versions of J9 (won't
run
remuco), old jbed (could not get it to install - wrong version of WM) and a home
build Japanese program - can't remember the name (would not run Remoco)

Thanks, Geoff

If image loading fails, it could be that Tao only supports PNG images. By
default
images are sent as JPEG to clients. You can switch to PNG images in the options
screen once you've connected to a player.

Converning JavaME runtimes, I've absolutely no experience with WM devices,
sorry.
Maybe someone else can help here.

Does switching to PNG image type solve your problem?

Switching to png in the client does not help. Should I also be switching in the
server side somehow?

No, image type is configured in the client, which then notifies the server
which it
type the client prefers.

We have a result! I switched to PNG and then restarted both client and server,
and
it now seems to work fine. Not sure what was the pivotal step, but it works.
Thanks
 for your help.
