Advanced Wars 2 crashes with artillery battle #260

What steps will reproduce the problem?
* Use artillery in game, whether its VS, Campaign, or any other playing style.
* Using vba-wii

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Freezes, instead of firing the artillery.  I end up having to do a hard reset.

Does this issue occur on VBA-M r781
(http://vba-m.ngemu.com/vbam/vbacompiles/msvc2008/VisualBoyAdvance781.7z)?
If so, please report the issue to the VBA-M forum.
No, it doesn't, neither on the latest version of vba-m.

What version are you using? On GameCube or Wii?

Are you using the official build (from the downloads page or auto-update)?
Tried all the download builds and the auto-update builds.  

Please provide any additional information below.
Seemed to work fine before, but now it seems to happen no matter what I've
done.

Also tried different roms to no avail.
Also, link to version r781 is broken.
http://visualboyadvance-m.googlecode.com/files/VisualBoyAdvance781.7z works, 
however.

This also happens a lot on Advance Wars [1], but only every once in a while.  It
seems, though, that it tends to happen more often near to the end of missions, 
only
adding to the frustration.

Actually, I'd like to let you guys know.
It DOES NOT freeze, it merely hangs.
It can hang for about 3 minutes or so.
Give it time and it will finish.

Also, due to that it seems to be a memory leak or something RAM related.

I've actually let this "hang" hold for maybe 20 minutes and it stayed frozen.
