Sorry for the inconvenience everyone. I don't have an EVE account at the
moment, nor
an installed copy of the game to test with. Maybe one of the other contributors
is
working on the problem and would care to post an update?
I suspect it'll be a very small fix - if anyone with some C# experience wants
to
take a look at the source code and see what's happening, they're very welcome.
Out of interest - does this only affect revision H? Do revisions G and F still
work?
Original comment by mark.oco...@gmail.com
on 16 Nov 2008 at 4:22
confirmed Revision G has the same issue.
I do some work in C#, perhaps I could take a look.

As what I can see so far, there are some tables that changed in the new Quantum
Rise.
The 4 CSV files need to be updated. I have exported the 4 tables in CSV if
anyone
wants them.

couldn't build the sources from the trunk.
i'm sure it's just a simple thing - with reading from file.
marc.oconnor: i would really want to help, or update the code, but i couldn't
build.
maybe you have a faster look on it, installing the programm with a 14 day trial
for
test wouldn't be a problem i think.
i really really would appreciate that! love the app!

Here are the 4 files. Unfortunately, with the Sql Server Express 2008 export
utility,
I can't add the " text delimiters on only the text fields, so there are no " in
the
files. I could do another export with the " but they would also be around the
numeric
fields. It seems that Microsoft wanted this that way. Let me know if I can be of
assistance for anything. I also have a copy of the project that builds so I
could
e-mail it directly to you if required. I also love the app, so if anyone comes
with a
working copy, please let me know. Thanks

The error I get now is with items not in the dictionary, so I'm trying to get
the new
csv files in the exact same format as the old ones with the text delimiters and
all.
will post here if I get any result.
If anyone has other ways to export from SQL express to csv, pls let me know.

thank you, yes please send me the buildable per email - i'll have a look to the
sql
also. Since i've not done any programming since a year - i have to reconfigure
all my
development infrastructure, would be nice to get it going again - and if it
works the
way i want it - i maybe would do some more too. but first things first :)

Sorry to bother you all with my ignorance, but what am I supposed to do with
those
files? I did not find anything on my HD i could replace by that files.
Original comment by schuetz...@googlemail.com

These files are hard coded in the app. You need to recompile the source with
these
files.

It seems to be something that the ingame browser doesn't like anymore in the
html
file created by the search.
I copied the html from the variable into a html file and it didn't load it. The
application generates the calculations and code correctly with the new
datafiles but
can't display in the game browser.
I'll try to see in the patch notes if something was updates in the browser.
More to come

Well, the ingame browser is the problem...
http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=79111&page=25
let's hope they will fix the thing
Original comment by remisans...@gmail.com

Hi all,
Could "you" possibly make it such that a regular out of game browser would
display
the __station of origin__? So far, it only does the destination. You can enter
the
localhost:9999/Search.htm directly -- no need for "trust". It works much faster
than
IGB ever did.
I'd me more than happy to have such a workaround for the time being. Maybe add
a way
to __enter your current position__ too as OOG browsers can't know where you are.
Finally, a newbie question: MS Visual C# 2008 Express would do? How do I get the
source, only by becoming member? My last time programming was in Turbo-Pascal
under
DOS and 6502 Assembler back when dinosaurs roamed the earth.
Thanks in advance to all who contribute here with hard work and advice.
Original comment by bunker.US

would be possible, yes. i'm sorry, i don't have much time to do some
programming -
i'm spending my 'gametime' now for it. remisansregret and me are working to
get it
running again.
i think we can provide both, a IGB version and a normal browser version too
(later).
normal browser ALWAYS is going to be faster.
You'll just need Visual C# Express - if you want to make a dump from the
database
(what will be necessary, without someone converting the DB stuff into csv)
you'll
also need mysql or mssql (there's a express version too).
I know it's hard to make make trade the 'old' hard way searching for profit -
but
give us some time to learn the code :) i think there will be an update within
the
next week :)
you're welcome to write me thoughts here or by mail, and since it's opensource
you're
welcome to work on it :) - just let me know if you found something interesting
maybe
helpful.

ok, i'll soon update the source, and will try to add maybe some new features
too.
if i'm finished i'll now be able to update revision and add it to new downloads.
thanks mark.
changing priority back to medium, cause the main failure is solved, have to
test it
and need some more verifies to close it finally.

I still can't get this to work. I just get url error using either the igb or

I have to run Navbot as administrator to get it to run in taskbar the path is
correct to the log files.
I have enabled iis and am running vista home premium. Any ideas please?

then..." and taking up 50% cpu
Original comment by vargas...@gmail.com

try uninstall everything. use the zip packed navbot to install after all old
stuff is
deleted.
delete all your market data, import a new one, and commit to analyse. it should
work
- it takes some time, but it will show up - after the first initialize it will
work
faster.
