3 years ago After further investigation and testing we found out that this is a "impossible" task since the terraform-nomad-provider does not support the gateway stanza. This is only supported in Nomad v0.12.4 and terraform-nomad-provider barely supports Nomad v0.12.2. See August 12, 2020 release.
What have been done so far:
- Tested secret engine database with Vault CLI :heavy_check_mark:
- Manually run the ingression example(gateway) as a Nomad job and verified connection :heavy_check_mark:
- Tried to implement database_secret_backend_role resource in
.tf-file using the ingression example (unsafe_connection.hcl):x:
We will put this issue on hold for now. Check out branch issue_11_vault_secret for the code.
