I'm struggling to grasp what you mean... Is it possible for you to make a video, or we could even meet over Discord video? Let me know if you're open to this
Here is an illustration that might help.
So basically, For the current note, and a given hierarchy (in the example above, the current note is "Me" and the hierarchy is the "Family Tree" hierarchy), fetch the parents, siblings, and children. This is something that the plugin can already do.
Then, another hierarchy and centering note is selected (in this case the "Property" hierarchy and "Gender"). Use the DAG to create a tree with the centering note as a root node.
Take the previously identified parents, siblings, and children, and place them in their own separate copies of the tree.
If you think a discord conversation would help, I am open to it.
Can we meet with voice and screen sharing, I'm still not understanding. Will you send me a message on Discord at @SkepticMystic
Hi,
I'd like the ability to specify one hierarchy for getting the children/parents/siblings, but display them using a separate hierarchy from a specified root node.
For example, I might have a "context" hierarchy, where I have a concept in the context of a lecture, a lecture in the context of a course, a course in the context of a...
I may at the same time have a hierarchy of types. (a course is a type, a lecture is a type, a context is a type)
I'd like to view all the context children of, for example, a course, but organize them by their location in the type hierarchy.
This would be done by specifying that I want to see the "context" children, using the "type" hierarchy, as seen from the "type" note (the common parent of all the types).
Then I could see all the concepts introduced in the course, all the lectures, assignments, etc. grouped in a convenient way.
