Was failing with default config, attempted with generate disabled and then running command manually received more details

running server in nogui

upon further investigation noticiing CrosshairBobbing is mentioned, deleting this mod from mods folder (since its clientside I think anyway) solved the generation issue

joining the server afterwards (with only automodpack on client) I see this on client log: https://paste.atlauncher.com/view/295c26dc-62d7-4591-ad49-04b7ccff5229 edit: ^ seems above image case occurs when host is not running automodpack host start fixes client not seeing the prompt
