Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Wii Remote Plus (RVL-CNT-01-TR) with nunchuk

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Button presses and analog from Nunchuk not detected (tried both Original
Nintendo nunchuk and 3rd party). Button presses from actual Wii Remote works
fine.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Wjoy 0.5.1, OSX 10.8.2

Please provide any additional information below.

Hello, strisel! Can you test nunchuck with this utility:
http://code.google.com/p/wjoy/downloads/detail?name=test.zip ? And which
application you are using to test?

I was actually using that test program you uploaded previously but here is the

All buttons work on the Wii Remote itself but any movement on the attached
Nunchuk is not detected.

I also tried connecting the Remote with the Nunchuk attached and also
connecting the Nunchuk after the Remote is paired; neither can detect the
Nunchuk and it is still listed as 'Extension connected: Unknown'

This is a Nunchuk branded for Wii U but not sure if anything changed internally
between that and regular Wii. I also tried a third party Nunchuk but that also
doesn't work.

Nunchuk Model # RVL-0004 (for the official Nintendo one)

It's strange. Can you test nunchuks with test utility attached to this post?
This utility shows identificators of extensions. Please, post it here. May be
identificators is non-standart. :)

I did--no inputs from the nunchuk are detected (analog, C, and Z button).
Nothing shows up on the log when using the nunchuk extension, but Wii remote
itself works fine.

I can confirm that the nunchuk is functional when using Dolphin emulator but
will not function through wjoy.

Yes, it's normal. Please, download test.zip from here, start it, connect
wiimote, plugin nunchuck and copy-paste extension identificator from alert
panel (see screenshot).

Ah I see. After pairing remote, then plugging in nunchuk:

Extension signature:
