To continue with our previous discussion, we'd like to look for a way to tell users which platform the guide is belongs to, and preferably have the result sorted based on platform.
And I am thinking:
Instead of adding the platform in the name of the guide, can we have a logo to indicate the platform right next to the search result instead? Something similar to https://docs.layer.com/sdk/webui/introduction.
Instead of having a drop-down menu next to the search bar for platform selection, I suggest having a filter in the result page instead. As a user I want have the results as quick as possible, having me to select the platform first before I search will increase the hurdle.
If the unsorted result already include what I want, then it's great. If not, I can then sort the result based on the platform to see if I can get a more accurate results.
To help you visualise (it's not the final design):
Let me know your thoughts. Once we agree on the arrangement I will talk to our designer.
