When grouped files are split their filenames change (to the GUID-like string attached internally on grouping). In addition files are sorted alphabetically by this string. Filenames can be recovered by regrouping.
Steps to recreate:
load two or more files
note the filenames and order in the list
select the files
group the files
split the files
note the change in filename to a GUID-like string
note the order of the files may have changed as they are sorted in alpha-numeric order by GUID-like string
select the files
regroup the files
note the original filenames are recovered.
Ability to recover original filenames is lost if the Grouped file is saved
Steps to recreate:
with the files still regrouped and the original filenames showing within the group, select the Composite image
Save the composite image to the Workbench
delete the files from Afterglow's file list
Open the composite file
note the formerly recovered original filenames are replaced by GUID-like names
mouse-over the Composite image: displays path to the saved image in the Workbench
mouse-over the layer(s): does not display the original filename
