Data in diffusion measurements #100

Open anastasia-nik opened 4 years ago

anastasia-nik commented 4 years ago

Hi! There are FA, trace etc for each tensor in diffusion measurements. However in many articles with two-tensor UKF tractography application it is not specified which of two tensor's data had been used. Could you explain what's the matter? Thank you in advance.

ljod commented 4 years ago

Hi the tensor 1 is the tensor corresponding to the fiber that is tracked, so that is used in papers for analysis. Perhaps it is called the tract-specific FA or similar. For more information, this is a better question for Yogesh Rathi or for the authors of those articles.

What is representative of radial diffusivity and axial diffusivity in the final .csv files?

ljod commented 2 years ago

Hi I'm not sure what you mean by "representative of," but axial and radial diffusivity are equal to the largest eigenvalue and the mean of the smaller two eigenvalues, respectively. I don't remember if these are measured by default in the csv files.
