Config file doesn't update #2

I love this mod, and it has worked quite well with no crashes, except the config file is a little finicky. It is formatted without any newlines, and is hard to read. So I copy and paste the text into Word, because it automatically reformats it with newlines, then I paste it back into the file. I then change values and add some blocks to be changed for harvest levels. When I rerun the game, the harvest tweaks no longer are applied and the default harvest levels only exist. I also looked back at the file and it usually reformats back into its form of no newlines. But this time it was in the same format as I had left it, so I guess it didn't work. Could this be fixed? Or is this an issue that could be worked around for now? Are some mods not compatible? I modified blocks from Environmental tech, chisel, mekanism, substratum, and tech reborn. Mods shouldn't matter. The file is formatted correctly on creation, don't open it with Notepad and more importantly DON'T copy it into word. If it doesn't have newlines the program you're using to open it with can't read the file properly.

Scan the log for any output from HarvestTweaks, it always logs when something doesn't work.

Notepad++ is a good program for editing configs.

Ya, i was going to get Notepad ++. I got it and tried reloading the game for fresh config files, made the same edits with Notepad ++, but still no luck. :( btw I can't find where the log is for changes, because I set logging to true, so that might mean something is wrong.

also only the wood log blocks and tools work

Sorry, I already said, I can't find the log anywhere. It must have not recorded it anywhere because it couldn't read the config file. I checked everywhere in .minecraft.

I'm going to test the configs, one by one, adding tweaks to each mod progressively, in this order: minecraft substratum techreborn chisel mekanism environmentaltech Then I could debug what mod isn't working, unless you know what's wrong. Thanks.

Along with my other issue, i think everything is resolved now. I looked back at the file and put a random 'L' in the file :P
