Pretty sure when I takes to the create devs about crushed ores, they said they were meant for internal processes only and not for other mods to use. Not even sure they are tagged. Definitely not suitable for ore multiplication or alike, at most you will get an ingot (which I might add is what a furnace gives you)
Getting an ingot per crushed ore is completely fine in my opinion, it just feels weird that this clearly metal object cannot be molten down.
Minecraft Version
1.18.1
Forge Version
39.1.2
Mantle Version
1.8.31
Tinkers' Construct Version
3.4.1.46
Problem description
Tinkers melting facilities cannot process the crushed ore items from Create.
Suggested solution
Define compatibility melting recipes that treat Create crushed ores either similar to the corresponding ingots or like a partially processed raw ore. (Treating them exactly the same as raw ore might be slightly incorrect, since the crushing wheels already extract "value" from the raw ores in the form of experience nuggets.)
Alternatives considered
I guess you could wash the crushed ores as intended by Create, completely ignoring Tinkers' in that regard.
Additional context
Tinkers' Constructs melting can process all kinds of metal items and offers recipe compatibility to Create, according to the FAQ, so is seems like an oversight that there are metal items for a fluid type Tinkers' already supports that cannot be molten down, especially considering that these items are an intermediate stage between two item types Tinkers' does know how to melt.
