6 years ago Badges are sorted into four different "categories" (for want of a better term): "Magnate", "Mogul", "Executive", and "Entrepreneur".
"Magnate" badges boost profits of certain businesses on the main planets; "Mogul" badges boost the speed of certain businesses on the main planets; "Executive" badges boost "Ad Watch bonus" in certain events; "Entrepreneur" badges boost either the profit or the speed of certain businesses in events.
EDIT: Not entirely true: I just won a "Super Star Badge" from the Cashella event. It is "Mogul" category but "Adds a 75% boost to your Profit Booster in the Cashella event".
