Add new row above url consisting of tabs #346

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. Not a problem, but annoyance.

Describe the solution you'd like Would be really great to have scrollable tab row like old Yuzu browser has. I can quickly navigate between tabs I open when I search stuff so I don't have to open any other silly menu/overlay/list that hinders the flow.

Add new tab could also be at the corner of the screen as it is simply way faster that way than again opening the menu.

Describe alternatives you've considered I don't think there are any. My most favorite browser Yuzu is no longer being updated and android 12 kinda broke it on my phone so I am looking at this one, which is as good as Yuzu in terms of speed and has more QoL features, but lacks these two things that would make it 500% better

There is one but I don't think it is very usable on phones. It's more for tablet and desktop as it is. Disable the Vertical Tab Bar from Setting / Look & Feel / Portrait or Landscape.

Should be made more usable on phones at some point though.

That's exactly the thing I am talking about. So it's already there and wirks fine. Now just add option to swap that home button with the new tab button and it's done

Oh, so there are more settings under these icons :D

Though Fulguris by default is setup such that you should never need the new tab button. New tabs are opened automatically for you. See: image

I see that now, yes when the screen is too narrow it does not show that toolbar. As I said this has not really been optimized for use in narrow portrait mode. Still Fulguris can spams tabs for you so you should be alright. There is also a settings option to add the new tab item in the menu.

What if the home button would open a new tab? To be honest I'm not sure why it does not do that now. It should do it according to settings really.

i also think having the new tab button there instead of a home button would be better

I think this mode would be a lot better to use if the top bar was less cluttered. I made this mockup pretty quickly, and I think it looks great. Fulgris edit
